Brethren,
The Stated Communications for the month of March went off as planned and scheduled with a minimum of fanfare and a maximum of enthusiasm. I will say that Brother’s Brandon Bateman and Bill Smith did and an excellent job as Senior Warden and Chaplain respectively.
For this month’s Stated Communications on the 15th we will be holding elections. This will be our third attempt at accomplishing this thanks to the COVID. There will be a tiled and closed installation immediately following.

Additionally, there are a few announcements concerning the well-being of some of the Brethren;

  • As previously announced, Worshipful Wayne L Moreland passed away on February 2, 2021. I have been informed that his Masonic services will be on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 2 PM. Brethren are requested to assemble at Covenant Funeral Home 1310 Courthouse Road Stafford, Virginia 22554. Aprons and Gloves will be provided. He was the Master of John A. Lejeune Lodge #350 in 2006 and a member of Fredericksburg Lodge #4, Dale City Lodge #319, and A. Douglas Smith Lodge of Research #1949
  • Don Ritenour and his wife Debbie are doing well and are in good spirits. As always, please keep them in your thoughts and wish them well that he may be able to return to Lodge in the near future.
  • Frank Harris was in attendance at the monthly meeting of the Quantico Chapter #44 of the National Sojourners on the 10th of the month. It was good seeing him out and about and having him in attendance.
  • Eddie Sykes has recovered from the fall he suffered due to ice on his driveway a short while ago and was in attendance at the Heroes of ‘76 this past Thursday the 25th. He was his usual jovial self and his presence was very much welcome!
  • Earl Covey one of our very senior honored members, remains at the Veterans Home in Washington, D.C. with no change in his condition. Please keep him in your prayers!
  • Roger Easterling is still recovering from surgery for a knee replacement back in November. While he still has trouble using his left shoulder, it too continues to improve with time and hopefully his guitar playing has not been affected. Hang in there, Roger, we are pulling for you!
  • If there is a brother that you have not had any word from or contact with in a while, I urge you to reach and check on them, we are all in this together although it may not seem like it at times.
    Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

    Administrative notes and parting shots:
    We will continue holding Lodge School on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m., 1900 for Military personnel. We are currently exemplifying the E.A. Degree and will begin exemplification of the Fellowcraft Degree beginning in March. Everyone is welcome to come out and offer input or just refresh existing knowledge.
    Also, we currently have the “Travelling Gavel” will be making a fraternal visit within the District to “gift” it to some very lucky well deserving Lodge in the near future!
    Sincerely and Fraternally,
    Randall Arnold, Worshipful Master
